A website grade on every new MailerLite subscriber

When someone joins your MailerLite list, SEO Score API checks their company website and writes the result back to the subscriber. Segment by grade, personalise a welcome email with their top fix, or trigger an automation for sites that need help.

The fields we add

FieldTypeWhat it holds
seo_scoreNumberThe website's SEO score out of 100.
seo_gradeTextThe letter grade, A+ to F.
seo_top_fixTextThe single most useful fix, in plain English.
seo_checked_atDateThe day we checked the site.

Use them in emails as {$seo_score}, {$seo_grade} and {$seo_top_fix}.

Set it up in two minutes

  1. Create a free SEO Score API account at seoscoreapi.com.
  2. In MailerLite, open Integrations, then MailerLite API, and generate a token.
  3. In your SEO Score API dashboard, open "Email platform sync", paste the token and click Connect. If you keep websites in a custom field, enter its key.
  4. That's it. Subscribers who join from now on are graded, and the four fields appear in MailerLite on their own.

Questions

Which website do you grade?

The subscriber's website or company field if you have one (you can name a custom field), otherwise the domain of their work email. Gmail, Outlook and other free or throwaway mailboxes are skipped, so they never use an audit.

What does it cost?

Each newly graded website uses one audit from your SEO Score API plan. The free plan includes 2 audits a day; paid plans start at $5 a month for 200 audits. A second subscriber from the same company within 7 days gets the stored result at no cost.

Does it grade my existing subscribers?

No. It grades subscribers who join after you connect.

What happens when I run out of audits?

New subscribers wait and are graded when your plan has audits again. Nothing is lost.

What do you store?

Your MailerLite API token, encrypted, and the website host and result for each graded domain. We read a subscriber's email and fields only to find a website. Disconnecting removes our webhook from your MailerLite account.
