1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SEO Score API service ("Service") operated by SEO Score API ("we", "us", "our"), available at https://seoscoreapi.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SEO Score API provides an automated website SEO analysis tool via a REST API. The Service analyzes publicly accessible web pages and returns structured SEO audit reports. The Service is provided "as is" for informational purposes only.

3. Account and API Keys

You must provide a valid email address to obtain an API key.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key.
You may not share, sell, or transfer your API key to third parties.
We reserve the right to revoke API keys that violate these Terms.
One account per person or entity. Creating multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service to scan URLs you do not own or have authorization to test, in a manner that could constitute unauthorized access.
Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
Resell access to the Service without our written consent.
Use automated means to create accounts or generate API keys in bulk.
Overload the Service with excessive requests beyond your plan limits.

5. Subscription and Payments

Free tier accounts are subject to daily usage limits.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are in USD.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Data and Privacy

We collect minimal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details. In summary:

We store your email address and hashed API key.
We log URLs you audit and request timestamps for usage tracking.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store payment card details.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, and documentation are our intellectual property.
Audit results generated for your URLs are yours to use freely.
You may reference our scores publicly (e.g., "Scored 95/100 on SEOScoreAPI") with attribution.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that SEO scores reflect actual search engine rankings.
SEO audit results are automated assessments based on common best practices and should not be treated as professional SEO advice.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Website analysis depends on the target site's availability and response.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

Your use of or inability to use the Service.
Any decisions made based on SEO audit results.
Unauthorized access to your account or API key.
Any interruption or cessation of the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SEO Score API and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Service Availability and Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may terminate or suspend your access for violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and usage data may be deleted after 90 days.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by local law. For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

14. International Users

The Service is available globally. By using the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, subject to the protections described in our Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable international data protection requirements including GDPR and CCPA.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
