What it does for a website-accessibility matter

1. At intake: see what automated testing finds today

Send us the client's URL and we send back a dated report. Each issue lists the WCAG 2.1 success criterion it falls under (for example 1.4.3 for color contrast), the elements that fail, and a suggested fix. You know what a tester running the same standard ruleset is likely to report before you respond.

2. After remediation: test again and compare

Run the same audit once the client's developer has made changes. The second report shows which issues are gone and which remain, so "we fixed it" comes with a record instead of an assurance.

3. Keep the before-and-after record

ADA Monitor re-checks up to 10 of the client's pages every week, keeps every dated result for 13 months and produces a monthly PDF per site, so the state of the site on a given day can be shown later.

4. Check a whole site or a whole client list

One page is rarely the whole story. The API audits any public URL: every key page of one site, or the home pages of every client you want to get ahead of. Pro includes 100 accessibility audits a month, Ultra 500.

What a report contains

The audit runs axe-core, a widely used open-source accessibility testing engine, in a real browser, so pages built with JavaScript are tested as they actually render. It applies the WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA rules.

What it is not

This is automated testing. It documents what automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks find on a page on a given date. It is not a legal opinion, and it is not a full manual audit: some success criteria can only be judged by a person, including a person using assistive technology. Use it to see the automated findings quickly and to show change over time, alongside whatever manual review the matter calls for.

Yes. The intake report we prepare and ADA Monitor's monthly report are PDFs you can forward.

Does it test pages behind a login?

No. It tests pages that are publicly reachable.

Do I need a developer to use it?
